To-buy List!

Hello girlies!
http://www.emocutez.com

So this time, I'm just going to go all blah blah. Yeah, I'm jobless.  :mj
The previous post, my review of VLCC Clove Gel, has to be updated with pictures. I tried taking pics with my Samsung Star.. but because of the low lighting, all I got were un-focused and blurry photos. Might as well try with a proper cam. -_-

So well. I decided to post my have-to-buy/wish list! I'm not a makeup geek at all, but I love skincare products. I believe you gotta have a good, proper skincare routine first and foremost.  :)

So here I go:
  1. Himalaya Neem Face Pack - Heard that it helps acne-prone skin! No other reason required!
  2. Dove Damage Therapy Shampoo + Condi - I love the ad for this! BTW, I have curly hair. And I want my curls to be defined, smooth and shinyyy. *bling bling*
  3. Jovees Anti-acne Pimple Cream
  4. Lotus Herbals Berry Scrub
  5. Nivea Visage Oil Regulating Toner
  6. Neutrogena Oil-free Moisture SPF 15
  7. VLCC Kajal
  8. Lotus Herbals Jojoba Wash
That's it for now! Will be trying these out one by one.

It's officially summer here in Chennai now! The heat is unbearable. But I've been here for 4 years, so I'd be an idiot if I still complain about the Chennai heat. Because Chennai is ultimately hot all 365 days! Would love a bit of surprise rain.. nothing can beat the feeling of cold raindrops dripping all over you after you've been in the sun! Oh how we all love the rain!

Holidays start from May 8th..
And all I know is that it's gonna be amazing!
No, super-amazing.

...Or maybe just plain boring.

VLCC Acne Control Clove Gel review

So, I'm back with my first review.
http://www.emocutez.com

Today, I'm going to review VLCC Acne Control Clove Massage Gel. Read on to know my opinion about this product that claims to control and heal acne-prone skin.

And my opinion? IT WORKS! Miraculously. :D

I'm in my teens, so do I even need to say about acne and pimples? Before I started following an almost-proper skincare routine, I had horrible acne all over my face. Forehead, cheeks, chin. Once I started getting to know about skincare products for acne, I decided I needed to do something about my skin. So one fine day, as I was browsing through the skincare products aisle, the SA from VLCC suggested I use their Acne Control Clove Massage Gel. And ofcourse, I bought it.

Claims: Heals and tones pimple-prone skin.
This soothing gel, made from Clove and Chamomile Oil, heals without clogging the pores, retaining the moisture and softness of the skin. It also helps toning the pimple prone skin.

Method of Use: On clean skin, massage in circular and outward strokes for 8-10 minutes with wet fingers. Let it get absorbed by your skin, wipe off the excess.

Key Ingredients: Extracts of Aloe Vera (Aloe Indica) 3%, Margosa Bark (Melia Azadirachta) 2% & Lemon Peel (Citrus Bergamia) 1%, Oils of Holy Basil (Ocimum Sanctum) 0.5%, Chamomile (Anthemis Nobilis) 0.3% & Clove (Myrtus Caryophyllus) 0.2%, Gel Based Q.S.

Price: Rs. 215 for 50ml (1.69 fl oz)

I didn't notice any big results in the 1st few uses.. but after 2 weeks, my skin had definitely healed! The acne had vanished/reduced incredibly in size. Clove really seems to work on acne quickly! I was so surprised.. looking at my almost-clear skin. This product worked miraculously on my oily, acne-prone skin! My skin now looks so much better, and I don't really get that many pimples after using this. Not sure if it leaves behind marks, but it sure works on acne and pimples. And guess what, it has evened out my skin texture. My skin now feels very smooth to touch!

The content is a green colored gel, that you need to apply with wet fingers (helps with applying it evenly!). I use it as my "night gel". I just apply this and go to bed. For people living in humid areas, I wouldn't recommend putting this on in the daytime. Might come off easily with the sweat.

I owe it all to this product! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this! And am sure all the other girls out there who are looking for an acne-cure will love it too. A definite recommend!

The price might first seem a bit high.. but it's worth every rupee!
Let's get on to a quick listing of the pros and cons:

Pros:
  • It. Works. Miraculously.
  • Gel dries transparent, and within 3-4 mins.
  • Just does what it claims. Heals and tones pimple-prone skin.
  • Works well on your skin texture too.
  • Worth it! Definite recommend.
Cons:
None! Except that maybe it can't be used in daytime, as it might come off with the sweat.

Hope you enjoyed the review!

The Beginning

Hello world!
So well.. I'm Poornapriya. And this is my first blog, which I hope to maintain all year long. :P

I always wanted to have a blog of my own, and that's simple enough. I read all these make-up and fashion blogs by young Indian women.. and I wanted to write too, if not about fashion, at least reviews of products and book reviews and occasionally a random blog about my, um, sometimes interesting, sometimes not, pathetic, amazing, depressing (uhh? :P), cool life.
http://www.emocutez.com

So you see, this is my 1st post. And pathetically enough, I can't think of what else to write.
Sure, an introduction? But.. an introduction? I'm one of those people who suck at describing themselves. :P

I'll be back soon with reviews of my skin-care products (you can call it the main purpose of this blog!) and maybe, book reviews. Anyone here on Shelfari? :D

And I promise, I'll be sure to let you all know about me through every blog post that I write. That is, if I manage to maintain this blog. :P
